Location: Across Nightingale House, Clapham, and Hammerson House, Hampstead Garden Suburb
Hours: Full Time
Contract: Permanent
Can you turn data into insight that improves care?
Nightingale Hammerson is an independent charity providing care for older people across two London homes. We are looking for a Digital Care & Intelligence Lead to help us use data and technology to improve residents’ care, support our teams and make better decisions.
Connecting care operations, quality, compliance and IT, you will turn information into practical action. Whether identifying an emerging risk, developing a dashboard or simplifying a time-consuming process, your work will help colleagues understand what needs attention and where improvements can make the greatest difference.
About the role
Working closely with the Director of Care, Head of IT and colleagues across both homes, you will shape and deliver our digital care and intelligence priorities. You will combine longer-term planning with hands‑on improvements to systems, reporting and everyday ways of working.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing clear, meaningful dashboards covering care quality, incidents, safeguarding, staffing, occupancy and operational performance.
- Identifying trends and early warning signs to support timely action, continuous improvement and CQC inspection readiness.
- Improving data accuracy and reporting processes, reducing duplication and introducing automation where appropriate.
- Making better use of existing care management systems and supporting the introduction of new digital tools.
- Building colleagues’ digital confidence through practical training, guidance and digital champions.
- Developing a digital roadmap and working with managers to deliver improvements that benefit residents and staff.
During your first three months, you will get to know our teams, review our systems and reports, and identify opportunities for immediate improvement. You will also help establish a clear strategy for the year ahead.
About you
You will bring experience in a data, digital, quality or intelligence role, ideally within health or social care. You will be comfortable analysing information, developing dashboards and explaining findings clearly to colleagues with different levels of technical knowledge.
We are looking for someone who can build strong relationships, understand operational challenges and translate them into workable solutions. You will have:
- Strong data analysis skills and experience producing reports for operational managers and senior leaders.
- Knowledge of care management systems, digital reporting tools and Microsoft applications, including Excel.
- An understanding of CQC requirements and how data can support quality assurance and inspection readiness.
- Experience leading or supporting digital projects, system improvements and changes to working practices.
- The ability to train and support colleagues, encouraging confidence in using digital systems.
- A relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience, alongside evidence of continued professional development.
Relevant qualifications in data analysis, digital transformation, quality or project management would also be valuable.
This is an opportunity to see the direct impact of your work across two care homes. You will work alongside colleagues delivering and supporting care, helping them spend less time navigating processes and more time acting on useful information.
If you enjoy connecting people, systems and data to make services better, we would love to hear from you. The role involves working across both homes, occasional external travel and some work outside standard hours.
Nightingale Hammerson is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of our residents. Appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
