Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Act as the bridge between care operations, quality, compliance and technology, ensuring digital solutions and data insight directly support care delivery and organisational objectives. Develop and maintain quality dashboards covering incidents, safeguarding concerns, complaints, medication errors, staff training compliance, audit outcomes and CQC key lines of enquiry (KLOEs). Support CQC compliance by monitoring quality indicators, identifying trends and risks before they become compliance issues, and assisting managers with evidence collection for inspections and audits. Produce regular quality and performance intelligence reports for senior leadership and managers and establish monthly quality review meetings and early warning indicators. Develop executive and operational dashboards covering occupancy, staffing, compliance, incidents, quality performance and financial indicators, ensuring reports help managers take action rather than simply provide information. Review current data and reporting processes to identify duplication, gaps and underused reports, introducing automated reporting where possible. Optimise the configuration and use of existing care management and digital systems, reviewing functionality gaps and staff workarounds to reduce manual processes. Identify and deliver quick-win digital improvements such as electronic forms, automated reminders, digital audits and mobile access, and lead implementation of new digital tools and technologies. Develop and maintain a digital development roadmap for the organisation covering the next 12–24 months. Support workforce planning and operational oversight through KPI dashboards covering staffing levels, sickness, agency usage, vacancy rates and training status, and develop forecasting tools to identify future risks. Identify digital skills gaps across teams and develop training, user guides and digital champions to build digital confidence and capability across the organisation. Use data and intelligence to drive continuous improvement, establishing a continuous improvement framework covering areas such as medication management, recruitment and retention, and incident reduction. Produce quarterly service improvement reports and share best practice and lessons learned across services. Build strong working relationships with Directors, Registered Managers, Quality, HR, Finance and IT, establishing clear responsibilities, regular stakeholder meetings and a communication plan covering reporting schedules and project updates. Lead delivery of a structured first 90 days (stakeholder engagement, systems and reports review, dashboard development and quick wins) and present a 12-month Digital Care & Intelligence Strategy.
