We are looking for a caring and committed Learning Support Assistant to support our students' educational journey. Your day-to-day assistance will be crucial in providing the help and encouragement students need to thrive in a supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils’ learning and development under the guidance of the class teacher, including one-to-one and small group interventions.
- Promote positive behaviour and social-emotional development, supporting pupils to manage emotions and interact successfully with peers.
- Assist with planning and delivering activities, adapting resources to meet individual needs.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to assessment and planning.
- Support the school’s ethos of safety and inclusion, ensuring all pupils feel valued and supported.
Key Requirements
- GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.
- Experience working with children, preferably in an SEMH, special needs, or educational setting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Is proactive and flexible, able to adapt to the needs of different pupils and situations.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, understanding the importance of confidentiality and school policies.
