About the Role & Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Interior Design Manager to lead the design and delivery of exceptional show homes, marketing suites, and interior specifications for our portfolio, spanning regeneration to high-value, prime central developments across London. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in interior design and architecture, combined with the commercial acumen to manage budgets, uphold brand standards, and deliver projects on time and within budget. This role acts as the brand and quality gatekeeper, ensuring every customer-facing space reflects our company\'s vision, style, and reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Design & Specification: Develop and manage interior specifications for high-value homes, ensuring market competitiveness, customer appeal, and alignment with brand positioning. Incorporate architectural principles into design decisions to ensure functionality, compliance, and aesthetic excellence.
  • Marketing Suites & Customer-Facing Environments: Provide creative briefs and direction to external interior designers for show homes, marketing suites and amenity spaces that bring the brand and product vision to life. Work closely with sales, marketing, and branding teams to ensure consistency and emotional resonance with prospective buyers.
  • Project Management: Oversee the full design process from concept through to installation, ensuring projects are delivered to agreed programmes and quality standards. Manage the tendering process, review proposals, and negotiate with suppliers and contractors. Monitor progress, identify risks to timelines and budgets, and implement solutions promptly.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Prepare, manage, and track budgets for interior design projects, ensuring maximum value. Identify and deliver cost efficiencies through sourcing, procurement, and value engineering.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Sales & Marketing, Technical, Buying, and Construction teams to ensure seamless delivery and alignment across all project stages. Attend site meetings to coordinate installation schedules and address design-related queries.
  • Brand & Quality Assurance: Ensure all design work aligns with company brand guidelines and quality standards. Act as a design ambassador, championing excellence in every customer touchpoint.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Interior Design, Architecture, or related discipline. Proven experience in residential interior design, ideally within the new homes or property development sector.
  • Strong understanding of architectural drawings, spatial planning, and building regulations.
  • Track record of delivering high-end show homes and marketing suites to strict deadlines.
  • Commercial awareness with strong budget management skills.
  • Excellent supplier management, negotiation, and contract administration experience.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation skills; highly creative with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks. Strong leadership and influencing skills. Adaptable, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
