About Us: Disrepute is an elegant and intimate cocktail bar in the heart of Soho; it combines 60’s counterculture and the best of London’s cocktail culture today, offering an expertly curated drinks menu where established ideas meet modern thinking. Among several recognitions and nominations, we are proud to have been listed in the UK Top Cocktail Bars list the past few years, ranking n.12 in 2022, n.16 in 2023 and n.45 in 2026.

What We Need: As a Host/Hostess, you will greet and welcome customers, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. This is a FULL TIME vacancy, with shifts based over 4 days, and a wage starting at £18 per hour! Disrepute is open until 3am Monday - Saturday and 1am Sunday, the role will require late night / early morning working.

Responsibilities:

  • Capable of handling different bookings at the same time, deal with our guests' reservations and make sure that they receive the most iconic welcome there is!
  • Escort guests to their tables and give them the best tour around our cocktail menu. We want to hear your recommendations.
  • Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide information to guests over the phone.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the entryway, waiting area, and restrooms.
  • Assist in opening and closing duties, including setting up the host stand and organizing reservation books.

Skills and Experience:

  • First-class knowledge of classic cocktails.
  • High levels of fluency in English due to the bespoke nature of our service.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with guests in a polite and engaging manner.
  • Excellent organisational abilities to manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle a high volume of guests during busy times.
  • Positive and outgoing personality with a genuine desire to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Problem-solving skills to handle guest inquiries and address any issues that may arise.
