About Us:
The Piano Works are coming to Cardiff and were on the lookout for full and part-time, fun-loving, passionate, and guest-focused Barbacks to join our growing family. Already a hit in London with two buzzing live music venues in Covent Garden and Farringdon, we're bringing the same high-energy mix of restaurant, bar, concert, and non-stop party to the heart of Cardiff.
If you're passionate about hospitality, live music, and making guests smile, and youve got around a years experience in fast-paced environments like bars, clubs, live music venues, or experiential party spaces wed love to hear from you.
What We Need:
As a Floortender, you will play a critical role in ensuring our guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience. Floortenders love people! Youre sometimes the first to greet them, so we want you to give them a great first impression.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing a warm and friendly first impression.
- Serve drinks and food to customers on the floor, taking orders, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized seating area, clearing empty glasses, plates, and trash as needed.
- Engage with guests, providing information on menu items, drink specials, and promotions.
- Anticipate guest needs and promptly address any inquiries or requests.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Uphold all safety and hygiene regulations, including responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down the bar and seating areas before and after service.
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with any guest.
- Strong multitasking abilities to handle various tasks simultaneously during peak business hours.
- Friendly and outgoing personality with a genuine desire to create a positive guest experience.
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and legal drinking age requirements.
