The Role
We are seeking a highly commercial Senior Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team in Soho. This is a hands-on role at the heart of the business, responsible for delivering high-quality monthly management accounts, insightful analysis and decision support across a multi-site estate. Working closely with Operations, Marketing and the CFO, you will act as a true business partner to General Managers and senior leadership, helping them understand performance drivers, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to grow revenue, improve margins and control costs. This role is ideally suited to a CIMA / ACA / ACCA qualified accountant with at least two years’ post-qualification experience, a strong management accounting background and a genuine commercial mindset. Experience in hospitality, leisure or other multi-site environments would be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Management Accounting & Commercial Insight: Preparation and ownership of monthly management accounts for a portfolio of sites, including full P&Ls and performance analysis. Production of clear, insightful variance analysis with concise commentary and actionable recommendations for operational and senior management. Business partnering with General Managers and Operations Directors to understand trading performance, labour productivity, margin drivers and cost trends. Development and maintenance of KPI dashboards covering revenue mix, labour, gross margin, overheads and cash. Support the annual budgeting process, site-level cost reviews and rolling reforecast cycles. Financial modelling and appraisal of new site openings, refurbishments and other key commercial initiatives.
- Cashflow, Working Capital & Balance Sheet: Support weekly cashflow forecasting and monitoring of liquidity. Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and integrity of site-level financial data. Ensure strong controls around labour, stock, promotions and site operating costs.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Act as a trusted finance partner to operational and commercial teams. Present financial performance clearly and confidently to non-finance stakeholders, translating numbers into insight and action. Support and coach site teams to improve financial understanding and accountability.
- Systems & Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in reporting, automation and data quality across finance and operational systems (ERP, POS, payroll and banking platforms). Continuously seek opportunities to streamline month-end close and enhance the quality and timeliness of management information.
About You
CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience. Strong management accounting background within industry; hospitality, leisure or retail or other multi-site experience highly desirable. Highly commercial, with the ability to interpret data, challenge constructively and influence operational decision-making. Confident communicator, comfortable working with senior operational stakeholders. Strong Excel and systems capability (ERP and POS experience an advantage). Proactive, organised and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
