The Opportunity:

We are delighted to be working with a well established, international B2B manufacturing group supplying a broad portfolio of products to professional customers across multiple routes to market. Following a recent organisational restructure and the introduction of a new centralised, multi brand commercial strategy, the business is seeking an experienced Regional Trade Marketing Manager to support the UK & Ireland market during a maternity leave period.

This is a hands on, commercially focused role, sitting close to the sales team and acting as the bridge between central marketing strategy and local market execution.

About the role:

  • Reporting into the UK leadership team with a dotted line into a European marketing function, the role will focus on:
  • Translating central marketing and portfolio strategy into effective regional activity
  • Working closely with field sales to improve engagement, confidence and effectiveness of tools and activities.
  • Support sales team training and onboarding for products and brands
  • Build strong relationships with customers to drive awareness and preference of the new multi brand portfolio
  • Developing and executing trade marketing initiatives with key partners
  • Managing regional campaigns, events and exhibitions
  • Ensuring strong CRM discipline (Salesforce) and tracking campaign effectiveness and ROI
  • Acting as the “voice of the market”, feeding insight and opportunity back into central teams

This role is not about brand creation or high level strategy design; it is about execution, effectiveness and measurable impact.

Experience / Skills

Given the fixed term nature of the role, we are particularly keen to speak with candidates who are immediately available or coming to the end of a contract. You are likely to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in B2B or B2C trade or commercial marketing
  • A strong track record of delivering campaigns with clear, measurable outcomes
  • Confidence working alongside and influencing sales teams
  • Experience operating in matrix or centralised organisations
  • A pragmatic, adaptable approach and comfort working in evolving environments
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Sector background is flexible. Experience within product led, trade facing or specification influenced environments is advantageous but not essential. Transferable experience from other B2B or trade marketing settings will be considered

Other information:

  • 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover)
  • Office based role (full time) - Newcastle upon Tyne
