Nigel Wright Group are delighted to be partnering with a high growth PE backed business based in Stockport who are seeking a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. Reporting into a superb FD who has a proven background in developing talent, this role has huge growth potential and will provide the perfect building blocks to develop from both a technical reporting and commercial perspective.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, half-year, and full-year basis
- Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Perform detailed variance analysis, identifying key drivers and risks
- Present financial results, insights, and recommendations to the Executive Team
- Take full ownership of cashflow forecasting, monitoring, and management
- Provide high-level analysis of business performance and operational activity
- Identify opportunities for financial and commercial improvement to support business evolution and growth
- Drive continuous improvement of financial controls, processes, and systems across the organisation
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal policies
- Manage, develop, and mentor members of the finance team (where applicable)
Key Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally with people management experience
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
- Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights
- Confident presenter, able to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
- Strong process-improvement mindset with experience enhancing controls and systems
- Commercially astute, proactive, and comfortable taking full ownership of the finance function
This role offers a hybrid working policy of 3 days per week in the office and the remainder from home.
