Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving large-scale digital change? This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IS Portfolio Manager to take ownership of a high-impact portfolio of IT and digital change projects.

You’ll play a critical role in shaping, delivering, and governing an ambitious portfolio of product and programme delivery – with the autonomy to shape best practice, implement governance, and ensure real business value is achieved from change initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end management of a varied IS change portfolio across programmes and products.
  • Work alongside senior Digitalisation leaders to build an effective, forward-thinking technology change capability.
  • Provide portfolio oversight and assurance to senior stakeholders, including the Executive and Board.
  • Own and evolve the portfolio governance framework, from change initiation to delivery tracking and benefits realisation.
  • Manage financial planning and resource allocation across the change portfolio.
  • Develop repeatable, high-quality processes and policies to support efficient portfolio delivery.
  • Lead and grow a collaborative, high-performing team, developing their skills and setting clear performance goals.
  • Maintain clear roadmaps across customer journeys, business units, and capabilities.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory requirements, ensuring effective tracking and escalation as needed.

What you need

  • 5+ years' experience managing complex, high-value portfolios, programmes, or products in a tech-led environment.
  • Proven ability to operate strategically – balancing big-picture thinking with the ability to dive into detail when needed.
  • A strong grasp of agile frameworks and a track record of successfully managing change in dynamic, evolving organisations.
  • Confident communicator and influencer – you’re great at navigating politics and aligning diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable prioritising workloads and adjusting plans in response to changing internal and external demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement governance, planning tools, and performance metrics that support transparency and delivery.

Why join?

  • Up to £75,000 depending on experience
  • Up to 20% annual bonus
  • 25 days’ annual leave + bank holidays
  • Pension scheme with generous employer contribution
  • Hybrid working – up to 2 days per week from home
  • Modern, forward-thinking environment committed to digital transformation
