Formica, part of Broadview Materials, is seeking an exceptional Head of HR UK to lead the people agenda for its UK operations.

This is a high-profile leadership role based at the company's flagship North Shields manufacturing site, supporting a well-established business that is transforming its commercial and organisational capabilities across Europe.

As a member of the UK leadership team, you will partner closely with senior stakeholders to develop and deliver a people strategy that drives engagement, capability, succession, performance and long-term business success.

Working collaboratively with HR colleagues across Europe, you will help shape the future of a globally recognised manufacturing organisation.

The role

Key responsibilities include

  • Developing and delivering the UK HR strategy aligned to broader European business objectives.
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to the UK leadership team on all people-related matters.
  • Leading employee relations activity, including union engagement and consultation.
  • Driving employee engagement, communication and culture initiatives.
  • Leading talent management, succession planning and leadership development activities.
  • Overseeing compensation, benefits and reward strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance, best practice and an exceptional employee experience across the UK business.

  • Significant senior HR leadership experience, ideally within manufacturing, industrial or complex operational environments.
