Nigel Wright have been engaged to recruit a commercially focussed Management Accountant based in Greater Manchester. The successful individual will be joining a high-growth, private equity-backed business that has been acquired within the last 18 months. The organisation is now entering an ambitious buy-and-build phase with significant investment and a strong appetite for growth.

The Role

The Management Accountant role will sit within the central finance function and will report directly to a highly regarded and supportive Finance Director. The successful candidate will gain exceptional exposure across the business and play a key part in supporting strategic decision-making during a period of transformation and expansion.

Specific duties relating to the role include:

  • Lead month-end reporting with full ownership of management accounts
  • Drive the budgeting and forecasting processes across the group
  • Deliver high-quality financial analysis and modelling of key market and financial data
  • Challenge assumptions, analyse performance drivers, and ensure forecasts align with the business's strategic objectives
  • Business partner with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Present meaningful financial insights to the Executive Team
  • Play a key role in strategic finance projects, integrations and process improvement
  • Support the business through an exciting scale-up and acquisition journey

The Person

Minimum 12 months' post-qualification experience within industry. Strong commercial acumen with advanced analytical and modelling skills. Confident communicator with experience presenting to senior stakeholders. Experience within a regulated environment desirable (not essential). Ambitious, proactive and keen to develop within a high-growth PE environment.
