Nigel Wright are currently partnering with a high-growth business based in South Manchester seeking a Technically strong Financial Accountant to join the team on a part-time basis (3.5 days per week that can be delivered in a completely flexible way). This is a key role within the finance function reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller and acting as a subject matter expert across all technical accounting issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead statutory reporting across all UK and international entities
- Act as the technical accounting lead for the group, providing expert guidance on complex accounting matters
- Manage the year-end audit process, acting as the main contact for the external audit partner and resolving all audit queries
- Deliver presentations to the executive board across all financial results and upcoming legislative changes
- Support and respond to regulatory and compliance queries
- Work with third-party providers across tax, treasury, and banking
- Handle legal and insurance-related queries from a finance perspective
- Provide technical finance support to non-finance stakeholders across the business
- Ensure the business remains up to date with current accounting standards and technical developments
Candidate Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong technical accounting expertise with up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards
- Experience managing statutory reporting and audit processes
