A fast-growing consumer retail business is seeking an experienced Online Trading Manager to take ownership of its ecommerce and marketplace performance across the UK. This is a senior, commercially focused role responsible for driving revenue, margin, and customer growth across a DTC website and major third-party marketplaces, including Amazon and emerging social commerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end online trading strategy across DTC and marketplace channels
- Own the trading calendar, performance optimisation and commercial execution
- Shape a best-in-class digital customer experience while delivering ambitious growth targets
- Own and deliver the online trading strategy across all digital channels
- Build and manage annual and quarterly trading calendars
- Drive improvements in conversion rate, AOV, customer acquisition and lifetime value
- Analyse trading performance and translate insight into action
- Own forecasting, reporting and performance reviews
- Manage pricing, promotions and merchandising strategies
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimise stock availability
- Lead performance across major marketplaces including Amazon and emerging platforms
- Optimise product listings, SEO and content to drive conversion
- Own site merchandising, homepage and category performance
- Improve customer journeys through CRO testing and UX optimisation
Ideal Candidate:
- 3–5+ years experience in ecommerce trading or online retail
- Proven commercial growth track record in DTC or multi-channel environments
- Strong analytical skills with GA4 and marketplace dashboards
- Hands-on experience with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify or Magento
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
- Consumer goods, lifestyle, sports or fitness retail background
- Experience with emerging marketplaces or social commerce
- Knowledge of SEO, CRO and A/B testing
