A growing and fast-paced manufacturing business is looking for an HR Business Partner to join its site leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious HR professional who wants genuine exposure to senior leadership, complex employee relations, and strategic workforce planning within a dynamic operational environment. This role offers the chance to step beyond transactional HR and play a key role in shaping people strategy, organisational design, and leadership capability across a large operational workforce.
As HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to site leadership, translating business goals into practical people strategies that support performance, engagement, and capability development. You will partner closely with operational leaders to drive workforce planning, organisational effectiveness, employee relations, and talent development, while ensuring strong compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice. Supporting a workforce of approximately 250 employees, this role provides outstanding exposure to strategic decision-making and operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with site leaders to support workforce planning, organisational design, and succession pipelines.
- Coach and guide managers on employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
- Analyse people data and absence trends to provide insights that support operational decision-making.
- Act as a trusted partner to managers, influencing and supporting performance, engagement, and change initiatives.
- Contribute to leadership development and talent initiatives to strengthen capability across the site.
- Support performance management processes and initiatives that promote a high-performing culture.
- Ensure HR practices remain aligned with employment legislation and company policies.
The ideal candidate will have proven HR generalist or HRBP experience ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, or fast-paced operational environments. The role is based in Grimsby so candidates will ideally be local and happy to have visibility onsite.
