The Commercial Director will play a pivotal role in driving the next phase of strategic growth and diversification. As this is a newly created position, the successful candidate must bring a well-developed blend of commercial acumen, leadership maturity, and the ability to operate effectively within an ambitious and evolving organisation.
The Strategy & Commercial Leadership- Develop and articulate clear commercial strategies aligned to the organisation’s three-year strategic plan.
- Build credible, data-driven growth plans that support the development of new service lines and expansion into new markets.
- Work closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to translate Board priorities into actionable commercial initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to diversify and extend the company service offerings.
- Maintain agility in response to an evolving market, demonstrating strong situational awareness and adaptability.
- Anticipate commercial risks and opportunities, enabling the organisation to stay ahead of market shifts.
- Provide engaging, inspirational leadership that creates momentum and brings people on the journey.
- Lead change positively building confidence in new ways of working and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate constructively within a small, high-performing leadership team.

- Comfortable operating hands-on, with tight collaboration and constructive challenge.
- Conceived, validated, and scaled at least one new offering or market entry.
- Built strategic alliances/partners to accelerate growth.
- Exposure to multi-year agreements or outcome-based contracts.
- Commercial due diligence, integration planning, or value capture (if relevant to future strategy).

- Undergraduate degree (Business, Economics, Finance, Strategy, or related field) or demonstrable equivalent experience.

The role of Commercial Director is field based from your home address with extensive levels of travel around the UK in support of Business Development.
Car allowance of £8k is offered alongside a company laptop and mobile phone.
Annual Leave: 26 days per year plus all UK-recognised bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time colleagues).
Pension Scheme: 5% employer contribution, available after successful completion of the probationary period.
Bonus: Eligibility for the discretionary company bonus scheme.
