A well‑established UK manufacturer supplying high‑quality interiors and furniture to the care sector is looking for an experienced Key Account Director. The business has a strong reputation, a loyal customer base and long‑standing national accounts. They are now entering their next phase of growth, making this an excellent opportunity to play a central part in shaping the future of their key customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- This role gives you full responsibility for several major national accounts that have been well maintained for many years. You will be trusted to strengthen these partnerships, protect ongoing revenue and support further growth across customer estates.
- Your focus will be on managing long‑standing relationships with major care home groups, acting as their main point of contact.
- Leading refurbishment and new‑build programmes across multiple sites, ensuring products are delivered and installed to specification.
- Taking a structured and detail‑driven approach to forecasting, contract reviews and planning ongoing activity.
- Working closely with internal teams across manufacturing, logistics, installation and customer services to ensure consistent delivery.
- Identifying ways to enhance service, improve processes and expand product usage across national estates.
- Managing commercial discussions, pricing and long‑term agreements.
The role requires two days per week in Cheshire, with the remainder home‑based and on customer sites nationally. This appointment requires someone who is experienced, commercially confident and able to manage complex account activity with ease.
Ideal Candidate:
- Background in kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms (KBB), or another interiors/specification‑led product environment (understand how products are specified, supplied and installed across large estates).
- Strong experience managing major accounts or large multi‑site contracts.
- A project‑minded, organised and detail‑oriented approach.
- The ability to build trusted, long‑term relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Confidence in commercial negotiation and contract management.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to spot and develop opportunities for growth.
