We are supporting a well‑established, privately owned organisation operating a bespoke, business‑critical system that underpins its day‑to‑day operations. The platform supports multiple operational workflows and is built on Microsoft Business Central, which has been live for approximately 2.5 years and has been tailored to meet specific business requirements.
This role would suit an IT Coordinator or 2nd Line Support Engineer who enjoys variety, ownership, and working closely with users and suppliers in a fully on‑site environment.
Key Responsibilities- Providing 2nd line IT support across the organisation
- Supporting and maintaining Microsoft Business Central, including troubleshooting system and user issues
- Acting as the first point of escalation before involving external suppliers
- Liaising with external development and support partners, logging and tracking issues through to resolution
- Supporting users with Microsoft 365, PCs, laptops, and general IT queries
- Identifying and supporting process improvements, including future initiatives around automation and AI
- Maintaining documentation and contributing to internal knowledge bases
- Supporting business continuity by strengthening resilience within the IT team
- Microsoft 365
- Bespoke operational systems
- PCs, laptops, and peripherals supported in‑house
- Servers and higher‑level infrastructure supported by a third‑party provider
- Experience in a 2nd line IT support / IT Coordinator / Systems Support role
- Comfortable supporting business‑critical systems in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Clear communicator with a calm, responsive approach
- Experience with Microsoft NAV / Business Central or another ERP system
- Exposure to transactional or workflow‑driven systems
- Basic website or content management experience (page updates, working with marketing teams)
- Experience working with external suppliers or developers
