Company Nigel Wright are working with a leading, dynamic, manufacturing business in the recruitment of an internal communications lead. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growth orientated business with a global customer base and play a key role in a successful marketing team, focusing on providing engaging communication and maintaining a high employer brand profile. The role will be based from the site in Newcastle upon Tyne with the option for some hybrid working (minimum 3 days per week will be office based).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver regular, clear, and accurate communications that foster strong cross-functional team understanding.
  • Enhance business efficiency through effective communication strategies.
  • Maintain and elevate our client's employer brand through engaging content and messaging.
  • Implement annual internal communications plans.
  • Create a monthly program of corporate updates showcasing excellent work, best practices, and the latest news from across the business.
  • Produce content for the quarterly newsletter, including film and written materials to support employer brand communication.
  • Support internal initiatives such as the launch of new benefits, processes & procedures and promotion of events.
  • Ensure the effective running of company events throughout the year.
  • Create branded materials to support the work of the People and Culture team.
  • Assist with other aspects of marketing as required.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in delivery of internal communications.
  • A proactive and creative approach.
  • Communicative, open, and friendly approach, with the confidence to engage with staff across the business.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and individually to tight deadlines.
  • Enjoyment in distilling complex information into clear, compelling copy.
  • Able to work in a busy environment with the flexibility to pick up tasks and react quickly to changing priorities.
  • Excellent copywriting skills are essential.
  • Comfortable working across a range of traditional and digital media.
