You will lead on the design and delivery of initiatives such as the internship and graduate programmes, as well as a clear and robust employee retention strategy. You’ll be instrumental in building progression pathways, frameworks, and policies that reflect high-performance culture and values.

Responsibilities;

  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute the people strategy in alignment with business goals
  • Lead on the design and implementation of early careers programmes (internships and graduates) to fuel business growth
  • Build and embed career progression frameworks and transparent performance management processes
  • Develop and deliver a retention strategy that supports employee engagement and growth
  • Provide expert HR advice and coaching to leaders and managers across the business
  • Drive cultural initiatives that reflect and reinforce our values
  • Create and implement HR policies and procedures that scale with the business
  • Be an advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion in all people practices
  • Monitor HR metrics and use data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement

Who we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in a standalone or senior HR generalist role with the ability to work autonomously
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to connect people strategy to business outcomes
  • Experience building HR frameworks, programmes, and policies from scratch
  • Deep understanding of employee engagement, development, and retention strategies
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • A proactive and pragmatic mindset with a hands-on approach
  • Minimum academic requirements of 2:1 Bachelor’s degree from a Russell Group university with good A-level grades (or international equivalents)

Why join Neptune North?

  • Be a key player in a fast-scaling, ambitious business
  • Shape and lead the people strategy from the ground up
  • Work directly with senior leadership and become a valued part of the leadership team as the role grows
  • Opportunity to make a real impact on both the organisation and individual employee journeys
  • A values-driven culture that champions excellence, development, and innovation
  • You can have an impact from day one – we empower and trust our colleagues to leverage their skillsets
  • Work on a wide variety of initiatives alongside exceptionally talented people
  • Potential to grow and develop in the role and with the business
