Nigel Wright are delighted to be partnering with Great Rail Journeys to recruit a Head of eCRM and Paid Social. Great Rail Journeys is the UK’s leading provider of holidays by rail, offering escorted tours, river cruises and tailormade adventures across more than 40 countries worldwide. With five decades of experience, they are experts in showcasing the beauty and diversity of the destinations they travel to, taking people to places only rail can reach.

As Head of eCRM and Paid Social, you’ll lead the strategy and execution of customer engagement across eCRM and paid social channels in the UK and US. Your focus will be on nurturing leads, strengthening customer relationships with new and existing customers and driving repeat purchase and lifetime value through intelligent, personalised and data‑driven communication. Leading a specialist team, you’ll balance creativity with commercial insight to grow the database, strengthen brand advocacy and deliver measurable revenue impact.

Key attributes:

  • Extremely data‑led operator — you’ll be able to interpret behavioural data, automate journeys and improve engagement across UK and US audiences.
  • Hands‑on doer and strategic thinker — not someone who only leads teams but who also wants to deliver activity.
  • Strong CRM and loyalty background ideally from sectors with considered‑purchase behaviour (travel, automotive, financial services, kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms, consumer durables).
  • Content led and data/segment focused.
  • Experienced with lifecycle automation and integrating multi‑system environments.

The role is based in Great Rail Journeys York Head Office with hybrid working and offers a range of employee benefits including Pension Salary Exchange, Healthcare Cashback Plan, Life Cover, Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Schemes, Colleague Discounts on Tours, and 33 days holiday with the ability to Buy/Sell annual leave.
