The business
We are partnering with fast growing business based in Manchester in search of an account payable clerk. On growth trajectory the business is looking to hire a dynamic accounts payable clerk into its growing finance team.
Role
This role is a fantastic opportunity for an accounts payable clerk looking to step up in their career and gain exposure in all other aspects of finance. The role is varied and hands on, covering everything from purchase ledger and expenses to bank reconciliations, month end tasks and supporting the year end audit.
Duties :
  • Process high volumes of purchase invoices
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Set up new suppliers and maintain supplier records in the accounting system
  • Prepare and process weekly and monthly supplier payment runs
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Handle internal and external queries regarding payments and invoices
  • Assist with month-end processes, including accruals and account reconciliations
  • Assist with year-end audits
  • Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required

Person
  • Experience working a fast-paced finance function
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
