About the Role:

An established technology services provider is seeking a Field Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is a varied, customer-facing role responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading telecommunications and IT infrastructure across customer sites, data centres, and network environments.
/n
The successful candidate will enjoy a mix of hands-on engineering, troubleshooting, and customer interaction, working with a wide range of networking and connectivity technologies.
/n
Key Responsibilities:
/n
/n
- Install and configure networking and telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, modems, and associated infrastructure.
/n
- Deliver onsite and remote technical support to customers.
/n
- Carry out maintenance and fault-finding activities to restore services quickly and effectively.
/n
- Perform service migrations and technology upgrades.
/n
- Install and manage power, fibre, and structured cabling within rack environments.
/n
- Load and validate device configurations where required.
/n
- Record engineering activity accurately and maintain job documentation.
/n
- Ensure equipment is correctly packaged, labelled, and returned following project completion.
/n
- Deliver a high standard of customer service while managing time efficiently across multiple assignments.
/n

About you:
/n
/n
- Minimum of three years' experience within a Telecoms, Networking, IT Infrastructure, or Field Engineering environment.
/n
- Experience installing, supporting, or troubleshooting network and communications equipment.
/n
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
/n
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
/n
- Comfortable working independently and managing workload effectively.
/n
- PC literate with experience using remote access and support tools.
/n

Desirable Skills
/n
/n
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking technologies.
/n
- Router and switch configuration experience.
/n
- Knowledge of telecoms circuits, broadband, and connectivity services.
/n
- Structured cabling experience.
/n
- Experience working within data centres or rack-based environments.
/n
/n
