The Company: Our client is a growing utilities business delivering infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Transport Manager to lead transport compliance, fleet operations and workshop activities across multiple locations.

The Role: As Senior Transport Manager, you will act as the organisation's nominated CPC holder, taking ownership of transport compliance, fleet management and workshop operations across the business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring full compliance with Operator Licence requirements and transport legislation.
  • Leading the fleet and workshop function across multiple sites.
  • Managing and developing the Workshop Manager, Assistant Workshop Manager and workshop team.
  • Overseeing the maintenance, compliance and utilisation of a mixed fleet including vans, HGVs, grab wagons and specialist equipment.
  • Managing transport audits, policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Driving best practice in fleet management, maintenance planning and operational efficiency.
  • Supporting operational teams to ensure fleet availability and service delivery.
