Senior Operational Leader – Safety‑Critical Technical Services

Our client is an innovative and rapidly professionalising services group operating across electrical testing, security services, fire safety services and utilities. Following a period of strong growth the organisation is entering a new phase of operational excellence, standardisation and service consistency.
We are now seeking a Senior Operational Leader to shape, elevate and scale a large multi‑site service organisation responsible for thousands of planned and reactive jobs across the region.
The Role
As Group Service Director, you will:
- Lead end‑to‑end multi‑site service operations in a technical, compliance‑driven environment
- Build a scalable, consistent operating model across multiple locations
- Take full ownership for service performance, customer delivery and commercial outcomes
- Strengthen operational governance, compliance and data‑led decision‑making
- Embed high standards across people, systems and processes
- Lead, develop and uplift managers and frontline technical teams
- Bring cohesion to acquired businesses and prepare the organisation for continued growth
About You
You will bring:
- Significant leadership experience in large‑scale technical or compliance‑led service environments (e.g., electrical testing, HVAC, lifts, utilities, FM, safety services, infrastructure maintenance)
- A proven ability to professionalise, standardise and improve multi‑site service operations
- Industry experience across both B2B and B2C
- Strong commercial acumen including P&L accountability
- Experience leading teams through change, integration and operational transformation
- A collaborative, people‑first leadership style with credibility across technical field teams
- A passion for building service organisations where safety, compliance, customer experience and performance sit at the core
