Reporting into a Finance Business Partner, the Management Accounts Assistant will play a key role in supporting effective financial management across the organisation. The focus is on providing high-quality financial analysis, accurate reporting, and practical support to budget holders and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting financial business partnering across assigned service areas
- Assisting with short and medium-term financial planning and analysis
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts and commentary
- Supporting budget monitoring, variance analysis and forecasting
- Helping to maintain strong financial controls and accounting arrangements
- Assisting with statutory accounts preparation and working papers
- Contributing to regulatory returns and value-for-money reporting
- Supporting the effective use and development of finance systems
