Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to lead their B2B division in the UK. This pivotal role involves managing a team of approximately 20 professionals and driving revenues approaching £20m. Their ideal candidate is a structured account management leader with internal drive and external composure, capable of fostering strong relationships with corporate clients focused on employee well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Management: Lead, motivate, and develop the Sales Team in alignment with company policies and values. Make personnel decisions in agreement with the Managing Director and HR guidelines. Form and retain a high-performance sales team through recruitment, training, and development plans. Define and implement roles and responsibilities to ensure an effective sales structure.
  • Strategy: Contribute to the formulation, approval, and implementation of the division strategy as part of the management team. Define, develop, and execute a first-class sales strategy in association with local management. Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs for the area of responsibility and take appropriate action as necessary.
  • Financial Management: Develop short, medium, and long-range budget plans for sales regarding volume, net sales, margins and associated selling costs. Translate approved plans into concrete actions to ensure strong pipeline development and future contracted revenue. Demonstrate strong commercial awareness through business performance analysis and partnership with the commercial finance team.
  • Channel and Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain close senior-level contacts with key customers to drive additional revenue opportunities. Develop and execute sales channel and key account-specific sales tools in cooperation with marketing and service. Collaborate with the management team to develop competitive pricing systems in line with company strategy. Understand competitor activity, market trends, and regulatory environment to optimize business opportunities.
  • Sales: Lead from the front and target activities by sales role to deliver required results. Deliver sales, volume, and profitability targets for the division in accordance with the annual budget. Work with the Marketing Manager to ensure lead generation becomes revenue generation. Provide the Managing Director with relevant sales reports for Commercial Meetings and other business reviews. Manage the sales process effectively by analysing the status quo, deriving plans for constant improvements, and implementing them.
  • Information & Communication: Ensure consistent information flow from the field regarding customer requirements, competitive activities, and market trends. Establish professional and constructive working relationships with Headquarters and other markets to share learnings and best practices.
