With a strong focus on innovation, digital transformation and operational excellence, the business develops and maintains a suite of bespoke applications that support critical business operations across multiple sites and locations. The organisation offers long-term career opportunities, a collaborative culture and the chance to influence the direction of technology within a complex and evolving environment. The position is based in the Teesside area, with a flexible hybrid working model following an initial onboarding period.
Role
This is a hands-on technical leadership position, combining software engineering, architecture and stakeholder engagement. You will take ownership of the design, development and delivery of business-critical applications while helping shape the future technology strategy of the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development of enterprise-scale applications using C#/.NET and Angular.
- Defining technical architecture, development standards and best practices across the software estate.
- Driving cloud adoption and modernisation initiatives within a growing Azure environment.
- Working closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, challenge assumptions and deliver effective solutions.
- Providing technical leadership and oversight to both internal teams and third-party development partners.
Salary is depending on experience but likely to be around £60,000. The role will require some time on site, likely to decrease with time served and not expected to be more than 2 days per week, so locally based candidates would be preferable.

- Experience designing and delivering complex software solutions and technical architectures.
- Exposure to Azure and cloud-native technologies.
- The ability to influence stakeholders, challenge constructively and drive positive change.

- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD practices, data platforms or working alongside third-party development teams would be advantageous but is not essential.
