The Role
As a Procurement Specialist, you’ll be responsible for coordinating all technical aspects of procurement activities related to bespoke materials. You’ll work closely with production, planning, and supplier teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement that supports our operational goals.
Key responsibilities for the Procurement Specialist include:
- Managing purchase orders and vendor relationships using the MRP system
- Monitoring lead times, logistics, and inventory levels to ensure material availability
- Collaborating with internal teams to support production planning and forecasting
- Evaluating supplier performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with safety, legality, and traceability
- Supporting cost-saving strategies
- Attending planning and supplier meetings, providing insights and guidance
The Individual
The Successful Procurement Specialist will have:
- 3+ years of prior procurement experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of supply chain, sourcing, and supplier management
- Proficiency in MRP systems and MS Excel
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
