Our client is a successful and expanding engineering business that is looking to recruit a Procurement Manager into their team as a result of sustained growth, diversification and innovation.
The Procurement Manager will be based on site 5 days a week.
The Opportunity
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing Procurement strategy, leading a small team with responsibility for direct components, subcontract and indirects
- Supplier relationship management/contract management
- Managing obsolescence, re-sourcing, supporting bids and tenders, NPI
- Collaborating closely with SLT, supporting Project/Design Engineering
- Inventory management
About You
The ideal Procurement Manager will have/be:
- Proven track record of strategic directs’ procurement – PCBAs, subcontract electronics essential – ideally gained from within fast-paced manufacturing
- Strong technical procurement skills essential
- Driven, autonomous, dynamic, excellent negotiation and leadership skills
- Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills - able to communicate effectively/build relationships with multifunctional stakeholders
- Reliable, can-do attitude
- Adaptable and hands-on, resilient, driven
- Highly analytical, experience Microsoft ERP systems beneficial
