The Organisation A leading North East Public Sector organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement and Contracts Specialist to play a key role in supporting commercial, procurement and contractual activity across a complex, multi-site portfolio.

This is a highly visible business partnering position, working closely with senior stakeholders to provide specialist advice on commercial contracts, procurement strategy, risk management and governance.

You will lead procurement exercises, negotiate and review contractual arrangements, support major projects and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.

The role would suit candidates from procurement, commercial, contracts management or in-house legal backgrounds who enjoy balancing risk, compliance and commercial outcomes while delivering practical solutions to stakeholders.

About You The ideal Procurement and Contracts Specialist will have: Significant experience in commercial contracts, procurement, legal services or a related commercial discipline.

Strong contract drafting, review and negotiation capability - Experience of contract management and e-Tendering systems.

Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and governance frameworks.

Ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders across a diverse organisation.

Strong commercial judgement and risk assessment skills.
