The Opportunity: Our client, a global leader in the FMCG sector, is seeking a part-qualified Management Accountant to join their team, based in North Yorkshire. Main duties/responsibilities: Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts. Assist with weekly operational KPI reporting and sales reporting. Provide support to factory staff regarding operational variances to assist in improving production efficiency. Prepare journals. Month end overhead analysis and preparation of accruals and prepayments. Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Preparation of weekly country scorecard. Involvement with on-line banking and payments. Prepare and check information on a monthly basis for inclusion in the VAT returns and for submitting Intrastat returns. Assist in preparation of information for tax computations. Assist in preparation of yearly budgets. Ensure compliance with the control environment / Internal Audit requirements. Provide cover for other team members as necessary. Assist in ad hoc projects and administrative duties for the Finance team You will be/have: Strong numerical skills. High level of computer literacy - good excel skills and experience of accounting packages, ERP system experience is preferable, but not necessary. Work well in a team. Proactive with an eye for detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. More than 2 years’ experience in a relevant finance role. FMCG experience is preferable, but not necessary.
