The Opportunity
- Temporary Buying Administrator
- Location: On-site/Hybrid (depending on business needs)
- Salary: Circa £28,000 (pro rata)
- Contract: Temporary, approximately 4 months

Looking for your next temporary opportunity?We are recruiting on behalf of a large and well-established manufacturing business seeking a Temporary Buying Administrator to join their busy Procurement team for an initial four-month period.
This role has been created to provide additional support during a period of increased workload and would suit an organised, proactive administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Working closely with a team of Buyers and the Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day procurement administration activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing administrative support to the Buying and Procurement team
- Raising and processing purchase orders
- Maintaining supplier information and procurement records
- Updating spreadsheets, databases and internal systems
- Chasing suppliers for order updates and delivery information
- Assisting with reporting and data analysis
- Supporting the team with documentation, filing and general administration
- Handling queries and liaising with internal departments and external suppliers
About You
- Previous administration experience within an office environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Able to manage workloads effectively and work independently
- Proactive, efficient and willing to take ownership of tasks
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Previous experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain or manufacturing would be advantageous but is not essential
