The Opportunity

  • Temporary Buying Administrator
  • Location: On-site/Hybrid (depending on business needs)
  • Salary: Circa £28,000 (pro rata)
  • Contract: Temporary, approximately 4 months
  • Hours: Full-time

Looking for your next temporary opportunity?We are recruiting on behalf of a large and well-established manufacturing business seeking a Temporary Buying Administrator to join their busy Procurement team for an initial four-month period.

This role has been created to provide additional support during a period of increased workload and would suit an organised, proactive administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Working closely with a team of Buyers and the Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day procurement administration activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the Buying and Procurement team
  • Raising and processing purchase orders
  • Maintaining supplier information and procurement records
  • Updating spreadsheets, databases and internal systems
  • Chasing suppliers for order updates and delivery information
  • Assisting with reporting and data analysis
  • Supporting the team with documentation, filing and general administration
  • Handling queries and liaising with internal departments and external suppliers

About You

  • Previous administration experience within an office environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Able to manage workloads effectively and work independently
  • Proactive, efficient and willing to take ownership of tasks
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Previous experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain or manufacturing would be advantageous but is not essential
