The Company NW Tech are delighted to be representing a growing professional services organisation in their search for a Data Governance Coordinator. You will coordinate governance activities, maintaining metadata and data quality records, and work closely with data owners, stewards and technical teams to ensure data is well-managed, trusted and compliant.

The Role

  • Support the implementation of the data governance framework, including policies, standards and processes.
  • Coordinate and maintain the data catalogue and business glossary, ensuring metadata is accurate and up to date.
  • Work with data owners and stewards to define and document data definitions, classifications and lineage.
  • Support compliance with regulatory requirements through documentation and coordination.
  • Promote awareness of data governance across the organisation through communications and training.

The Requirements

  • Experience within a data governance role, ideally within a regulated environment.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, including data classification, lineage, profiling and quality.
  • Demonstrated success in building effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data (e.g. GDPR, data retention).
