With a large volume of data across multiple systems and applications, the organisation is now looking to appoint a Data Engineer to help develop its data platform and strengthen its data-driven capabilities. The Role: As Data Engineer, you will take a hands-on role in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports the organisation’s reporting and analytics capabilities. Working alongside the Lead Engineer, you will contribute to the continued development of the data warehouse and play a key role in improving how data is captured, processed and utilised across the business. You will also support the ongoing development and optimisation of APIs, ensuring effective integration between key systems. This is a varied role, offering exposure to a broad technology landscape and the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive environment that encourages learning, growth and progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain scalable data processing systems and infrastructure.
- Develop and manage robust data pipelines to ingest, clean and transform data for reporting and analytics.
- Support and enhance the data warehouse, including ETL processes and data modelling activities.
- Collaborate with analysts, engineers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, data-led solutions.
- Monitor data performance and identify opportunities for optimisation and automation.
- Maintain and improve APIs to enable seamless integration across core business systems.
- Implement best practices in data governance, security and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain clear documentation across data architecture, pipelines and processes.
- Stay up to date with emerging tools and technologies within data engineering and analytics.
