An established, values-led organisation operating within a regulated environment is seeking a Management Accountant to join its finance function during a period of continued development. This is a permanent, full-time role offering hybrid working (with a mix of office and home-based work) and the opportunity to play a key part in supporting operational and strategic decision‑making across a complex organisation.

The Role

Reporting into a senior finance leader, the role will focus on delivering high-quality management information, supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, and providing financial insight across multiple service areas. You will work closely with non-finance stakeholders, contributing to business improvement initiatives and ensuring robust governance and compliance.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts and KPIs
  • Budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning support
  • Oversight of specific income streams, ensuring accuracy, transparency and compliance
  • Financial modelling, business cases and scenario analysis for new initiatives
  • Support with statutory reporting, audit and regulatory returns
  • Business partnering with operational teams to support value for money and cost control

About You

This opportunity would suit a part-qualified accountant (CCAB/CIMA) or someone qualified by experience, ideally with experience gained in a regulated, not‑for‑profit, housing, or similar environment. You are likely to bring:

  • Strong management accounting and reconciliation experience
  • Confidence working with technical accounting standards in a regulated setting
  • The ability to move comfortably between detailed transactional work and higher-level analysis
  • Strong Excel / spreadsheet skills and experience with finance systems
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
