The Company Nigel Wright Tech are delighted to be working with an established software business in their search for a Database Developer.

The Role

  • Help to design and build solutions to supply tailored data reports to colleagues, customers and the wider business.
  • Help to import and export data for internal and external clients.
  • Carrying out tasks to support with the development of the company's in-house APIs and applications to maintain various datasets.
  • Check for inaccuracies in data within the company's databases and find solutions to rectify problems promptly and correctly.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on the various databases and servers.

The Requirements

  • Experience with using Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or later is preferred).
  • A strong understanding of relational databases.
  • Good experience with ETL processes and tools.
  • Some knowledge of cloud database technologies (Azure ideally).
  • Comfortable in carrying out some database maintenance tasks, including scheduling backups, monitoring database performance, monitoring hardware resources.
