Transactional Finance Manager
Nigel Wright are currently supporting a Leeds based organisation with their Transactional Finance Manager requirement. This is offering an immediate start, rolling contract basis.
The Role
- Lead day-to-day Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control operations.
- Oversee supplier invoice processing, approvals, payments and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing, cash allocation and account maintenance.
- Monitor aged creditors and debtors, resolving queries and disputed balances.
- Support cash collection strategies to maximise cash flow and reduce overdue debt.
- Review credit risk, customer limits and escalated account issues.
- Manage month-end transactional finance activities, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met.
- Maintain strong financial controls, compliance standards and audit readiness.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and finance transformation projects.
- Lead, develop and performance-manage transactional finance teams while promoting a high-service culture.
The Candidate
- Previous experience leading an Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control function.
- Strong understanding of transactional finance processes, controls and best practice.
- Proven ability to manage, develop and motivate finance teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge and influence when required.
- Commercially minded with a focus on cash flow, debtor management and operational efficiency.
- Strong systems knowledge with experience driving process improvements, automation or finance transformation projects.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
