About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Manager to join their Technology leadership team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and continuous improvement of a predominantly cloud-based IT environment. Supporting a workforce of approximately 200 employees—many operating within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment—you will ensure that core technology platforms, collaboration tools, and end-user services are highly available, secure, and efficient. This is a hands-on leadership role, blending technical expertise across infrastructure and cloud platforms with strong people management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of infrastructure engineers and support analysts
- Set priorities, manage workloads, and balance reactive support with proactive improvement
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused team culture
- Act as the escalation point for complex technical and service issues
- Service Support Delivery
- Own and manage the internal IT support service end-to-end
- Ensure effective triage, prioritisation, and resolution of incidents and service requests
- Define and monitor SLAs, using performance data to drive service improvements
- Maintain a knowledge base to increase first-time resolution and efficiency
- Infrastructure Workplace Technology
- Oversee the lifecycle of end-user devices (Windows and macOS), including provisioning and decommissioning
- Manage device configuration and compliance using modern endpoint management tools
- Administer core productivity platforms (email, collaboration, document management)
- Manage identity, access, and security controls across the organisation
- Cloud, Security Governance
- Own the security posture of cloud-based infrastructure environments
- Implement and maintain best practice security controls, including identity and access management
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and security reviews
- Respond to and manage security incidents
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and security frameworks
- Collaboration Projects
- Work closely with other technology leaders to deliver the IT roadmap
- Collaborate across data and development functions to maintain consistent governance
- Support delivery of infrastructure and workplace technology projects
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure service levels are met
- Business Continuity Risk
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Maintain IT policies, standards, and documentation
- Contribute to and manage the IT risk register
Skills Experience:
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure, operations, or IT management roles
- Experience leading and developing technical teams
- Strong knowledge of modern workplace technologies and cloud-based environments
- Experience administering enterprise productivity platforms and identity management systems
- Solid understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance
- Experience managing IT support / helpdesk functions and service delivery
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage across technical and non-technical audiences
Desirable:
- Experience supporting high-volume, customer-facing environments (e.g. contact centre)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and security best practices
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance tooling
