Our client is a well-established and growing engineering and manufacturing business operating within complex, safety-critical environments. With a strong pipeline of work and ongoing investment in their people and systems, they are now looking to strengthen their HSE capability.

This is a key position within the HSE team, reporting into the Head of HSEQ, and responsible for supporting the drive of Health, Safety and Environmental standards across the organisation. You will play a hands-on role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with legislation and embedding best practice across operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and coaching teams to maintain high safety standards
  • Leading risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across HSE performance
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
  • Supporting leadership in delivering strategic HSE objectives

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys dynamic project environments, being visible on the shop floor / operational environment, and influencing at all levels of the business.

About You:

You will be an experienced HSE professional with a very strong background in engineering, manufacturing or another high-risk industrial setting. We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a recognised health safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent)
  • Has proven experience in a hands-on HSE role within a highly dynamic manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Is confident influencing, coaching and engaging with stakeholders at all levels
  • Has experience of audits, investigations, and continuous improvement activity
  • Brings a practical, proactive approach with a genuine passion for safety culture
  • Open to travel both UK and Internationally
