Head of Internal Comms
We are partnering with a major UK organisation to appoint a Head of Internal Communications . Reporting to the HR Director, this is a high-profile role working closely with the CEO, Executive Team and senior leaders across the business.
In this hands-on role, you will lead the internal communications and colleague engagement agenda, shape leadership messaging, support business change and help build a culture where people feel informed, connected and proud to be part of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted adviser to the CEO, Executive Team and senior leaders.
- Develop and deliver the internal communications and engagement strategy.
- Shape leadership communications, business-wide messaging and change programmes.
- Own the communications channel strategy and ensure messages reach a diverse colleague population.
- Lead colleague listening, engagement, employer brand, wellbeing and community initiatives.
- Use data and insight to measure impact and improve engagement.
- Lead and develop one direct report while influencing across a matrix organisation. About You
- A senior internal communications or employee engagement professional with experience in a large or complex organisation.
- Credible and confident operating with C-suite and Executive stakeholders.
- Comfortable challenging senior leaders and offering clear, expert advice.
- Experienced in leading communications through change, growth or transformation.
- A strong writer and communicator with excellent judgement around tone, audience and timing.
- This is a hands-on role, you’ll be strategic in approach but willing to remain close to delivery.
