Job Description

Our clientWe are delighted to be working with a market leading Engineering and Manufacturing business, with a site in Tyne and Wear, to recruit a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer. They have recently secured significant new long term contracts, supplying complex engineered equipment into a growing market. This role will support their experienced design team and contribute to their ongoing success. The opportunityReporting to the Engineering Manager, as part of a collaborative technical team, you will:
  • Design and develop new products and technologies from concept or improve existing products to meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and test above products and technologies to pass both internal and industry safety and performance and reliability standards.
  • Deliver engineering solutions within the material cost targets and on time.
  • Undertake customer new product blueprinting activities to support project definition and to identify unmet needs.

About youYou will need a minimum degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related subject. Industry experience in Mechanical Design will be an advantage. Drive an enthusiasm along with a willingness to learn are essential. The role comes with training and development alongside experienced Engineers, supporting you in furthering your career in Mechanical Design. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team, supporting a successful business in a period of growth.
