The Role
Financial Accountant - Hybrid Working

Our client is a large, multinational organisation with operations across multiple European countries and a workforce of over 30,000 employees. They are currently undergoing an exciting phase of transformation and investment, and are seeking a Financial & Technical Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong accountant to play a key role in shaping financial reporting and compliance across a complex and evolving business landscape.

The Role
As Financial & Technical Accountant, you will:

• Provide expert technical accounting advice across the group.
• Prepare accounting papers and guidance on key standards including IFRS 16, IFRS 15, IFRIC 12, IAS 36, IAS 16, IAS 38, IFRS 9, IAS 37, IAS 20, and IAS 19.
• Maintain and enhance group accounting policies.
• Lead the adoption of new accounting standards and liaise with external auditors.
• Support development of consolidated financial statements and UK statutory accounts.
• Collaborate with Group Treasury, Tax, and Consolidation teams to ensure best practice in financial reporting.

The Person
The requirements for the Financial Accountant are:

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK statutory reporting.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to varied audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management and analytical skills.
