The Job A Financial Accountant is required for a 6 month period, with potential to lead to permanent. Some flexibility for hybrid working.Reporting to the Group Financial Controller this role will support the management accounts team and deliver the the Group’s statutory reporting requirements.Some of the key areas of focus: Preparation of the Group consolidation and workings behind the financial statements ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations Preparation of the financial statements for all legal entities within the Group Review and posting of year-end tax journals Responsible for maintaining a record of the Group’s leases and ensuring compliance with IFRS 16 accounting Pro active interpretation and analysis of the impact on the Group’s financial reporting of development and changes in GAAP Responsible for weekly and monthly reporting to the parent company finance team The business An exciting organisation going through some exciting transformation and change About You Fully Qualified Candidates ACA, ACCA or equivalent Likely to be practice trained or from a large business Be excellent technically with an up to date working knowledge of developments in accounting standards (IFRS and UK GAAP) Have strong organisational and project management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines on multiple projects Have excellent Excel skills…
