Due to the urgent nature of the role, this is initially a contract/temporary to permanent opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the monthly management reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Preparing and managing budgets and forecasts, working closely with operational and commercial teams.
- Delivering variance analysis and performance commentary to senior stakeholders.
- Providing commercial insights to support strategic decision-making and drive profitability.
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to understand cost drivers and identify opportunities for efficiency.
- Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements.
- Driving continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
- Managing and supporting a small team.
Person Specification
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional who can combine strong technical skills with commercial acumen.
Essential:
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
- Proven experience in a finance role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong understanding of management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present insights clearly.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships across the business.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
- Experience of managing a small team.
