A high-performing, values-driven education trust in the North of England is seeking an exceptional Executive Director of Estates and Risk to lead the strategic direction of its multi-site estate. With responsibility for over 30 academies across fourteen local authority areas, this role offers the opportunity to shape and deliver a long-term estates strategy that directly enhances the learning environment and outcomes of thousands of children and young people.
The Role
- Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will:
- Lead the strategic development, maintenance, safety and security of all buildings, grounds, facilities and infrastructure.
- Oversee and deliver major capital projects, ensuring high-quality, compliant and value-for-money outcomes.
- Strengthen governance, estates compliance and statutory Health Safety across all sites.
- Act as the organisation’s lead competent person for building safety, CDM regulations, asbestos management, fire safety, legionella and wider compliance.
- Ensure robust estate-wide processes for risk management, asset maintenance and emergency response.
- Drive consistency of estates and facilities management systems across all academies.
- Manage central estates staff and support site-based teams, fostering high performance and continuous improvement.
