Job Description
- Data Pipeline Development: Design and develop sophisticated data pipelines to import data from external vendors, sell-side partners and other providers seamlessly into their central data platform
- Platform Development and Testing: Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of their platform to ensure it aligns with ever-changing business requirements. Test the system regularly to confirm its effectiveness and perform troubleshooting when necessary
- Platform Maintenance and Data Reliability: Ensure the platform is well maintained, enabling uninterrupted access to crucial data points. Continuously verify data quality and integrity essential for investment process
- Continuous improvement and collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline data accessibility and usability. Drive innovation by adopting advanced analytics technologies and methodologies
The RequirementsThis is an outstanding opportunity where you will be able to make an impact from day one. Working with an exceptionally talented group of people, you will have exposure to a wide variety of datasets with significant opportunities to master different practises, tools and skills and allow you to apply your experience and insight to solve interesting real-world data challenges across multiple asset classes.You will need to be capable of thriving in a fast-paced and intellectually demanding environment. The client are looking for excellent academics, A/B grades at A-levels and a 2.1 or better from a Russell Group university, in addition to some good commercial experience. Key requirements include:
- Expertise in designing and building data pipelines
- Highly proficient in SQL, Python, AWS and other data management technologies
- Ability to test and troubleshoot data platforms reliably. A track record of improving data reliability quality
- An ability to produce high quality analysis whilst managing complexity
- High attention to detail and a demonstrable drive for excellence
- A desire to understand and solve business problems, build domain knowledge and increase market understanding
