A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Accountant to take on a key leadership role within a busy finance team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on delivering high-quality financial reporting, driving process improvements, and supporting strategic decision-making.
The Role
The Commercial Accountant duties will include:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Oversee sales and purchase ledger processes, including debt management.
- Lead the month-end close process and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Develop medium-term cashflow forecasts and review VAT returns
- Present financial results and cost/variance analysis to senior stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on capital expenditure and significant budgets.
The Person
The requirements for the Commercial Accountant role are:
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong background in management accounting and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proficient in financial systems and Excel.
- Strong communication skills and comfortable in liaising with other areas of the business
