Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) – North to join a global manufacturing business.

Reporting directly to the General Sales & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth across the Northern UK territory, including Scotland.

This is a high-impact role where you will play a key part in shaping and executing the regional sales strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and building long-term customer relationships.

Home based role with regular travel across the territory and 2 days / month in the South East office.

Conduct a comprehensive review of historic customer data and market mapping in the initial weeks.

Develop and execute a clear, strategic sales plan to identify and target high-value customers.

Build and nurture long-term relationships with both new and existing clients.

Attend industry events and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and network with key stakeholders.

Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet and exceed sales targets.

Proven experience in a field sales or territory management role within a technical product/service environment.

Background in mechanical or electrical industries preferred, but not essential.

A proactive, self-starting approach with a hunter mentality and a passion for business development.

Strong ability to generate leads and convert them into long-term partnerships.

Willingness to travel extensively across the territory and spend occasional nights away.
