Delighted to be supporting a global furniture business with an established international footprint and a long-standing reputation for designing, developing, sourcing and delivering furniture for leading retail customers.
Following significant investment and the appointment of new leadership, the UK business is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation. They are now looking to appoint a Senior Key Account Manager to play a pivotal role in developing major retail partnerships, identifying new product and range opportunities and driving profitable growth.
This is not necessarily a traditional account management hire. The business is open to people from commercial, buying, product development or sourcing backgrounds, provided they bring strong furniture knowledge, commercial credibility and an understanding of what major retailers are looking for.
The Role
Reporting into the UK commercial leadership team, you will play a key role in developing major retail partnerships, shaping product opportunities and driving profitable growth.
This is a highly visible role, working closely with retail customers and internal teams across product development, sourcing, operations and supply chain. You will combine strong furniture and product knowledge with commercial thinking to identify opportunities for new products, range development and account growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and developing relationships with key retail customers
- Identifying opportunities for new products, range expansion and profitable growth
- Bringing strong furniture and product knowledge into customer discussions and commercial decisions
- Working closely with product development and sourcing to develop the right products for customers
- Supporting commercial negotiations, pricing and annual plans
- Using customer, market and competitor insight to identify future opportunities
- Working cross-functionally to ensure successful delivery from product concept through to customer
- Contributing to the continued growth and development of the commercial function
The Person
Furniture experience is essential, but we are flexible on where that experience has been gained. You may currently be working in buying, sourcing, product development or account management. What matters is that you understand furniture, know what retailers and consumers are looking for, and can turn that knowledge into commercially successful products and long-term growth.
